GF-6 standard release date delayed!

Lubrizol, the company behind the ILSAC GF standard, announced that upcoming ILSAC GF-6 standard that supposed to be released Q4 2017, will be postponed till  April 2018!
The reason which given is to reduce stress on oil companies resources.
Well, this is disappointing in my perspective. In the world which getting more polluted everyday and fossil fuels getting scarce in other hand, quicker respond and action needed.
If we looking at ILSAC standard release sequence this one is the longest period of time taken to take us to upper level of motor oil performance era. Comparing to other hardware and software technical breakthrough and advancement during this period, this seems ridiculously slow and unacceptable. This is slowest change in GF motor oil standard, how come it put stress on oil companies resources?!   Do we reach to motor oil peak performance era? I doubt so. Many motor oil standards from OEM car manufacturer are already outperform API and ILSAC standards.
In this way releasing new ultra low viscosity oil,0W16 & 5W16, will be delayed accordingly.
So this is not a good news while the world already united to reduce greenhouse emission.
In nutshell; I expected Lubrizol release the GF-6 standard sooner not later.
